The Zebra Channel Partner Event 2025 was a day filled with connection, teamwork, and celebration, uniting Zebra Technologies’ partners from across the region. Held at Malt, a stylish bar in Marina Square, the event blended business networking with relaxed, after-work fun.

As the event videographer, my goal was to create a cinematic highlight film that felt fresh, immersive, and full of energy. The venue lighting posed some challenges, the indoor bar was naturally dim, and the outdoor team-building games took place under overcast skies. To transform these conditions, I set up high-powered spotlights to enhance the atmosphere and add a soft, cinematic glow that lifted both the visuals and the mood of the space.

Beyond lighting, I also experimented with drone-like camera angles, using creative techniques to achieve sweeping perspectives and smooth overhead movements without flying an actual drone. These unique angles gave the final highlight video a modern, elevated feel that stood out from traditional corporate event coverage.

The end result captures not just what happened, but how it felt, an inspiring blend of teamwork, innovation, and shared energy that reflects Zebra’s spirit perfectly.

Behind the Shot

Balancing technical precision with storytelling was key. Shooting solo across indoor and outdoor segments meant moving light setups quickly and planning camera routes in advance. I used gimbal-based movement for fluid motion shots, combined with intentional handheld moments for authenticity. Every lighting setup and creative angle was chosen to make the event feel cinematic yet genuine, the kind of coverage that clients can be proud to share.
