Shawn + Xin Ling // ‘Portals into the unmanifested’ Adventure
Shawn + Xin Ling - Portals into the unmanifested Adventure
Exploring "Portals into the unmanifested" with Shawn & Xin Ling. The place is so silent, just 3 of us the entire time. We were intensely present in the moment, no time for the past and future to enter our minds. Because letting our minds drift into time may mean getting chased by dogs or possibly zombies hidden in the dark quarters. While not everyone will like abandoned places like this, there is a pool of people who love exploration as much as I do.. in spite of feeling fear, we do it anyway, for the thrill and excitement.

Gordon + Felice // Northern Adventure
Gordon + Felice - Hidden Beach Adventure
Wild journey through Singapore's uncharted lands - it's like diving into the heart of the Amazon Forest! 🌿Along the way, we stumbled upon a hidden canal that is covered with water most of the time, and an eerie abandoned tree house that seems out of a kampong movie. Despite the moody, rain-soaked skies that accompanied us for much of our adventure, we were blessed with a golden ray of sunlight just before dawn. ☀️ The universe sure knows how to paint the sky with magic when you least expect it!

Tomo + Judith // Silent Dam Adventure
Tomo + Judith - Lotus Lake & Silent Dam
Day 1: Adventure to the Hidden ‘Lotus Lake’ with Tomo & Judith. At the start of the shoot, there were thunder sounds and dark clouds all over us... we decided to push on with the shoot regardless just play by ear and get the best out of the situation =) Places like this are 100% natural and off the beaten path. There wasn’t any path to follow so we got to make our own by deciding on the spot. While behind our heads hoping there are no snakes underneath the long grass we step on, or hiding under the still water. Reaching the end of the shoot the rain poured heavily so we rescheduled the other spots to another day =] /// Blessed with Golden dusk on Day 2 of our adventure!  “Silent Dam” is one of my favorite places because it’s one of my only land spots that gives the feeling of watching the sunset at a private beach. Though Day 1 of our shoot (last post) was all rainy and gloomy, we still had lots of nice shots... In the past I used to worry about the weather; whether the sunset would be covered by clouds, what if it rain, or if the sun would be too harsh.. but with practice, we can make the best out of every weather condition and create photos of good vibes =)

Jordan & Chermaine // Proposal Adventure
Jordan & Chermaine - Proposal Adventure
Jordan & Chermaine's surprise proposal at The Hill house! Jordan said he is bringing her 'to see dogs' in this field.. we started with a 'friendship shoot' like nothing special is planned..  Halfway through the shoot, her dog came running towards her from nowhere, with a ring strapped to the collar and that's when Jordan proposed. I remember it was a rainy season at that time and we almost rescheduled it.. The grass was wet with mud, they initially had a hard time getting their shoes wet.  I told them how about just removing their shoes and enjoying the coolness of nature.. A lot of couples are worried about gloomy weather affecting how the photos but look at this series, the drizzling weather added a soft and calm vibe to the shots. Let's just make the best out of every situation no matter what happens in our lives or work =]

Derrick + Dilys // Industrial Farm Adventure
Derrick + Dilys - Farm and Transmission Tower
We ventured to the Singapore countryside for some overseas vibe photographs. They were introverts and preferred places free from passersby, hence we decided on some hidden gems that are far from civilization. The radar towers look like its taken in Australia, while the golden sunset farm looks as if we have travelled to Vietnam paddy fields. Some of the places no longer exist now due to the constant changing Singapore, and its alright because all of us will look back at these photos and remember the experiece we had at that present moment during the shoot =)

Sean & Angela // SEA Adventure
Sean + Angela - SEA Adventure
Sean & Angie's SEA Adventure to the "Lone River''. it's been a while since I visited this secluded river.. Out of all paddling routes, this is the most chill one, free from the challenging waves of the open seas.. Always enjoy paddling up close to those stationary boats and seeing how the fisherman spend their lives in it. Depending on the wind condition, sometimes it's a gentle breeze, while at other times the wind can be so strong that we all just get blown along the path like a floating balloon. Somehow I'm also a fan of rustic industrial architecture that withstands the test of time.. look at those factory buildings in the background, they were probably here before I came into this world.. Because they are built at this secluded compound in Singapore, not much development has been done over the years. Although everyone says Singapore is small, I am confident more hidden gems will be discovered if we explore deeper =)

Joseph & Li Ling // Adventure
Joseph & Li Ling - SEA Adventure
Casual adventure with Joseph and Li Ling at one of our all-time favorite hidden gems; Ant Hill. The weather was calming and soft, giving us the opportunity for peaceful candid shots. They shared their thoughts and feelings towards each other from the start of being together. At the time of posting this set their wedding day has already passed and these photos will remain with them for a lifetime. Everyone will age eventually as nothing in this world is forever, I'm sure they will both enjoy the photos as they look back many years down the road

Mervyn & Qianyi // SEA Adventure
Mervyn & Qianyi - SEA Adventure
One of the good things during this shoot was the perfect weather and sea conditions during the shoot. The rain stopped in time just before we launched, and the waters were calm without much wind. We paddled in a chill way to a hidden mangrove nestled inside a river. It's one of the places in Singapore that is completely unreacheable from land. The only way is by paddling. An hour before sunset, we headed out to the open sea, to visit the tranquil lone kelong fishing farm. The resident dogs were there to greet us with loud barking. I am almost worried they may jump over to us. Being alone just 3 of us in the vast ocean, it felt like time had just stopped and we were completely in the present, free from worries.

Marius & Elaine // SEA Adventure
Marius & Elaine - SEA Adventure
We took this adventurous paddling route past shipping channels to reach a secret secluded island. An island so hidden that no Singaporeans have seen it. On the island are hidden treasures like the majestic rock formations that look like touristy beaches in Bali, and even a coral-filled shallow lake. On the way back we witnessed the best sunset skies ever; a perfect blend of blue and orange (it's not edited!). We had a moment of mindfulness, staying present while listening to the subtle ringing sounds from sailboats. And ended the journey when the sun disappeared over the horizon.
